One ton of illegal homemade brandy /rakia/ meant to be distributed over the internet was discovered by the customs officers



Customs officers of Plovdiv Customs House and mobile customs group seized one ton illegal homemade brandy /rakia/. After the customs officers detected an announcement for sale of homemade brandy /rakia/ posted on a popular website,  they arranged a meeting with the seller. The seller came to the meeting with the pickup full with 430 liters of illegal homemade brandy /rakia/ stored in 43 PVC tubes without excise labels. After that subsequent inspection in the home of the seller customs officers found other 570 liters illegal homemade brandy /rakia/.

The whole amount of the discovered alcohol was seized.

A pre-court proceeding has been initiated on the case.
