Customs Officers at Kapitan Andreevo BCP found more than 2 kg silver jewelry in a car brand BMW

Customs officers at the Kapitan Andreevo BCP found 2,313 kg silver jewelry in factory cavities of a car. The jewelry was found in an entering the country from Turkey car BMW with Romanian registration. The driver of the car who traveled alone did not declare any goods precious metals and currency. Customs officers selected the car for a detailed check. During the inspection, the customs officers found in the factory cavities of car and in the luggage of the driver hidden packages with a total 828 silver jewelry including medallions, rings, earrings, bracelets and chains. According to the expert estimation silver jewelry were with a total weight of 2,313 kg and high sample 925. The smuggled silver jewelry was seized in favor of country. The driver, Romanian citizen, was sanctioned according to the Monetary Law. In recent days Customs officers at the Kapitan Andreevo BCP uncovered five smuggling attempts of articles of gold and silver during customs checks on entering the country from Turkey cars. Were detained 723, 5 grams of undeclared gold jewelry and 2 313 grams silver jewelry. Violators are four Bulgarian citizens and one foreign citizen.
