Rousse customs officers arrested convicted of smuggling a Romanian citizen with 378 boxes of illegal cigarettes



Rousse customs officials discovered 378 packs of cigarettes without Bulgarian excise labels in the luggage of a Romanian citizen traveling by bus from Istanbul to Bucharest. The trafficker of illegal excise goods was hiding cigarettes in the travel bag under his seat. All packages are brand "L&M" and labeled "Duty Free". The man has confirmed that it was his luggage.

Immediately pre-trial proceeding in the inventory of Rousse Customs House was initiated against the Romanian citizen. During the investigation it became clear that he had already been convicted of smuggling trademarks in 2014. The latest crime of the man was during the probationary period. If he will be convicted again, he will have to endure in prison along with his new punishment still 4 months for the previous offense.
