Tank, full of smuggled cigarettes, found customs officers at Kapitan Andreevo BCP

Customs officers at Kapitan Andreevo BCP found 15 400 pieces smuggled cigarettes in the Bulgarian minibus, traveled from Turkey to Bulgaria. The four passengers and the driver did not declare any goods, precious metals or currency. The customs officers selected the minibus for detailed customs check. During the inspection the customs officers found hidden in the tank of the minibus 15 400 pieces (770 boxes) cigarettes „Karelia slims" and „Assos slims" without Bulgarian excise labels. The cigarettes were inserted through the cutting hole from the top of the tank.  

It was found that the cigarettes are property of two passengers. The violators were sanctioned to the Law on Customs. The cigarettes were seized.

Two hours later the mobile customs team at Kapitan Andreevo BCP found in the personal luggage of a passenger in Turkish bus 420 boxes smuggled cigarettes. At the same time customs officers found hidden under the cloths of a passenger 60 boxes smuggled cigarettes. He passed through the checkpoint walking.
