Customs officers at Kapitan Andreevo BCP seized nearly 1,5 kg smuggled silver jewelry


Customs officers at Kapitan Andreevo BCP prevented attempt to carry of smuggle silver jewelry. The jewelry was found in Romanian bus, entering the country from Turkey. The driver of the bus and passengers did not declare any goods, precious metals or currency. Customs officers selected the bus for a detailed check. During the inspection the customs officers found hidden in the two ladies` handbags and suitcases total 229 products, made from white metal: rings, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, pendants and chains. According to the expert estimation silver jewelry were with a total weight of 1491 g and high sample 925. The jewelry is worth 6 000 BGN.

The smuggled silver jewelry was seized.

The passengers, two ladies, Romanian citizen, were sanctioned according to the Monetary Law.
