Officers of Rousse Customs House revealed 540 boxes of cigarettes hidden in five different secret places in truck

A large amount of illegal cigarettes were found in a truck with Turkish registration by inspectors from Rousse Customs House. The vehicle was stopped for inspection at the Danube Bridge BCP Ruse - Giurgiu. In the customs hall truck was thoroughly inspected for excise goods. Customs officers discovered different types of cigarettes without excise stamps in five different secret places - under the mattress of the upper bunk in the cab, behind the cover above the door, in the front bumper of the towing vehicle, in front of the trailer and in a box of tools. The total quantity of illegal cigarettes is 540 boxes of brands "MM", "Marlboro", "Davidoff", "Mac", "Cahan", "Nova" and "Parliament".

Investigating customs inspector from Rousse Customs House and the prosecutor were informed about the case. The driver of the truck was arrested. Pre-trial proceedings have been instituted against him.
