Customs officers at Kapitan Andreevo BCP found and seized gold for BGN 60 000 hidden in the underwear of two men

Customs officers at Kapitan Andreevo BCP found and seized smuggle gold jewelry. The jewelry was found in two men in a Bulgarian car „Mercedes" Е 200, traveling from Turkey to Bulgaria. The driver of the car and two passengers did not declare any goods, precious metals or currency. Customs officers selected the car for a detailed check. During the personal examination of the driver and one of the passenger customs officers found plastic bags with the gold. In the briefs of the two men the customs officers found 1,152 kg gold jewelry. In underwear of the passenger I.P., Bulgarian citizen, customs officers found 291 jewelry, including 125 the chain, 69 pairs of earrings, 46 pendants, 42 rings and 9 bracelets. According to available expertise the gold with a total weight of 924 g of 14 carats gold worth BGN 51 744. In underwear of the driver M.I. also Bulgarian citizen, customs officers found 41 jewelry with a total weight of  228.50 g of 14 carats gold worth BGN 12 796. The gold and the car were seized. One of the offenders is arrested. A pre proceeding has been initiated on the case.

Two days ago customs officers at Kapitan Andreevo BCP found in the underwear of the woman, Bulgarian citizen, 50 gold  jewelry weighing a total of 255 grams worth BGN 14 280.
