Customs officers at the Kapitan Andreevo BCP found gold jewelry hidden in a bag with peppers  



Mobile customs team at the Kapitan Andreevo BCP seized smuggled gold jewelry. The jewelry was found in the lady's bag. The lady travels with a Turkish bus from Istanbul to Bucharest. The woman did not declare any goods, precious metals or currency. Customs officers selected the bus for detailed check. During the inspection the customs officers found hidden in a bag with peppers 102 gold products: rings, bracelets, necklaces and earrings, with a total weight of 367.30 g of 14 carats gold worth BGN 20 038. The smuggled gold jewelry was seized. The lady, Romanian citizen, were sanctioned according to the Monetary Law. 

The day before, the customs officials at  Kapitan Andreevo BCP seized 137.70 grams of gold jewelry worth BGN 8262  in underwear lady , Bulgarian citizen, entering the country from Turkey. In another case late last week customs officers seized 12 kg gold jewelry worth over BGN 700 000, hidden on the bodies of four men.
