Customs Officers at Malko Tarnovo found smuggled cigarettes in a double wall of driver's bed in a bus

Customs Officers at Malko Tarnovo BCP seized 1 000 boxes /20 000 pieces/ of cigarettes without excise stamps. The contraband cigarettes with brand „MM classic slims" were  hidden in a bus with foreign registration, traveling from Turkey through Bulgaria to Romania. The driver and passengers in the bus have announced that they do not bring anything to declare. The bus was selected for a detailed customs check. The contraband cigarettes were hidden in a double wall of the bed in the luggage compartment of the bus in a separate resting place on driver. Contraband cigarettes were wrapped with aluminum foil, possibly "as a defense" against X-ray equipment for inspection.

The steward of the bus recognized in its written explanations that he was bought cigarettes from Turkey for sale. A stratement for violation of the Law on Customs was issued against the steward- a Romanian citizen with initials D.V.
