Customs Officers at Malko Tarnovo seized smuggled gold jewelry


Customs Officers at Malko Tarnovo BCP found 359 grams of smuggled gold jewelry, coins and scrap of gold items during check in a jeep "Porsche Cayenne" with four passengers, Romanian citizens. The car with Romanian registration traveled in direction from Bulgaria to Turkey. The smuggling gold items were hidden in the luggage of two passengers. Customs Officers found undeclared used bracelets, rings, earrings of yellow metal, two coins and scrap of yellow metal with a total weight of 359 grams. The two Romanian citizens were sanctioned according to the Law on Customs and Monetary law. According to initial expertise, detainees a total of 359 g items are made from 14 to 22 carat gold.
