Customs officers at the Kapitan Andreevo BCP seized gold jewelry hidden in a bra


Customs officers at the Kapitan Andreevo BCP found smuggled gold jewelry in Serbian bus, entering the country from Turkey. The driver of the bus and all passengers did not declare any goods, precious metals or currency. Customs officers selected the bus for detailed check. In the course of a personal examination  of  the lady customs officers found plastic bags with the gold. In the bra of  the lady the customs officer found 149 gold jewelry, among which 62 pairs of  earrings, 51 rings, 3 medallions, 17 bracelets, 12 chains  and 4 silicone bracelets. According to available expertise the gold with a total weight of 533.54 g of 14 carats gold worth BGN 32 012.

The smuggled gold jewelry were seized. A pre-court proceeding has been initiated in the case.
