Customs officers at Kapitan Andreevo BCP found gold jewelry hidden in the armrest of the car

Customs officers from customs mobile group found  nearly  630  g  gold jewelry  over BGN 37 000 in two cases.

In the first case customs officers found and seized   397.30 g gold jewelry  in  Romanian „Audi „ entering from Turkey. The driver and his companions did not declare any goods precious metals and currency. Customs officers selected the car for thorough check. During the inspection the customs officers found hidden in the armrest of the car box wrapped with tape, full with a total of  243 gold jewelry: earrings, chains, pendants, rings, bracelets, pendants. According to the expert estimation gold jewelry were with a total 397.30 g are worth  BGN  23 838. A statement for violation of the Monetary Law was issued against the driver.

In the second case during the inspection  another Romanian car customs officers found in the luggage of a Romanian citizen undeclared 229.23g articles of yellow metal, which, according to the expert estimation gold jewelry with a total 229.23g are worth BGN 13 753.8. A statement for violation of the Monetary Law was issued against the woman.
