Customs officers at Kapitan Andreevo BCP seized tens of thousands of fake textiles and sports shoes

Customs officers at Kapitan Andreevo BCP seized 46,500 pairs of men's and women's socks, 14,232 textile and 3008 pairs of sneakers of infringing intellectual property rights in two cases. Goods were transported with two Polish truck, entering the country from Turkey. The customs officers selected the trucks for detailed check. During the inspection customs officers found in one of the trucks 22,680 pairs of women's and men's socks, in the other - 23,820 pairs, most of them with the logo of Adidas, Nike, Puma, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Louis Vuiton, Armani.

The inspections were discovered and total 14,232 textiles-  blouses, shirts, pants, shirts, sports kits, boxers with the logo of world famous brands - Adidas, Calvin Klein, Armani, Polo, Disney, as well as sports shoes - respectively 2205 pairs one of the trucks and 803 pairs at the other, with mostly figurative signs of Adidas, Nike and Puma.

In compliance with EU Regulation No 608/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council and the Law on Brands and Geographic Indications, the products were seized and the rights owners of the relevant brands will be informed about the seizure.
