Customs officers from Rousse Customs House revealed illegal cigarettes around a truck engine

Customs officers from the "fight against drug trafficking" in Rousse Customs House seized a truck driver carrying more than 150 boxes of cigarettes without Bulgarian excise stamp. Illegal excise goods were concealed in plastic bags under the hood around the engine of the vehicle. The truck with Turkish registration is stopped for inspection yesterday, 12.04.2017, upon exiting from Bulgaria through the Danube Bridge BCP from Ruse to Giurgiu. In black plastic bags were found 150 boxes of brand "LM 100s" and 4 boxes "Parlament -Aqua Blue". Double the amount of excise duty payable is at the rate of 1309 lev.

Preliminary investigation was opened against the driver of the truck. He will come to trial on the fast track.
