Customs officers at Kapitan Andreevo BCP seized tens of thousands of fake textiles, sports shoes and handbags


Customs officers at Kapitan Andreevo BCP seized 30 372   pairs of men's and women's socks, 12 361 textile, 1039 pairs of sports shoes and 482 handbags of infringing intellectual property rights in two new cases. Goods were transported with two Polish trucks, entering the country from Turkey. The customs officers selected the trucks for detailed check. During the inspection customs officers found in one of the trucks 21 900 pairs of women's and men's socks, in the other - 8472 pairs, most of them with the logo of Adidas, Nike, Puma, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Louis Vuiton, Armani.

The inspections were discovered and total 12 361  textiles-  blouses, shirts, pants, shirts, sports kits, boxers with the logo of world famous brands - Adidas, Calvin Klein, Armani, Polo, Disney, Burberry, Phillip Plein, as well as sports shoes - respectively 779 pairs one of the trucks and 260 pairs at the other, with mostly figurative signs of Adidas, Nike and Puma. In one of the trucks were found 482 handbags with the logo Chanel, Guess, Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors.

In compliance with EU Regulation No 608/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council and the Law on Brands and Geographic Indications, the products were seized and the rights owners of the relevant brands will be informed about the seizure.
