Customs officers discovered illegal workshop for processing of tobacco in the region of Byala Slatina


Illegal processing workshop smoking tobacco was exposed by customs officers from Lom Customs House at check near Byala Slatina. Customs inspectors from Sector "Operational Control" department "Customs Intelligence and Investigation" inspect private property after previously gathered information on unlawful business with tobacco. During the survey, they found that the improvised workshop was equipped with a tobacco cutting machine. 292 kg of baled tobacco and 35 kg of smoked tobacco were found on site.
Machine and found 327 kg of tobacco were seized. A Pre-litigation case was initiated in connection with the case of the Lom Customs House. Work on the case continues.
