Customs offisers at Kapitan Andreevo BCP found 24 000 pieces smuggled cigarettes in two inspections

On 10.06.2017 customs officers at Kapitan Andreevo BCP found 24 000  pieces /1226 boxes/ smuggled cigarettes in two inspections.

 

In one case the cigarettes were found in a car „Mercedes" with   Haskovo registration, entering the country from Turkey. The driver and four passengers did not declare any goods precious metals and currency. Customs officers selected the car for thorough check. During the inspection the customs officers found hidden in the tank of the car 11 320  pieces /566 boxes/ cigarettes without Bulgarian excise labels.

The cigarettes were seized. A statement for violation of the Law on Customs was issued against the a driver.

Hours earlier at another check customs officers at Kapitan Andreevo  BCP seized 13 200 pieces/660 boxes smuggled cigarettes. The cigarettes were found in a truck with Stara Zagora registration, entering the country from Turkey. Customs officers selected the truck  for thorough check. During the inspection the customs officers found hidden in the factory cavities, under the upholstery, in the driver's cab ceiling 13,200 pieces / 660 boxes / cigarettes  brand „Victory slims" and „Esse lights" .

The cigarettes were seized. A statement for violation of the Law on Customs was issued against the a driver.

For the first 10 days of June, customs officials at Kapitan Andreevo BSP seized near 10,000 boxes of cigarettes without excise labels.
