Customs officers found smuggled cigarettes in three trucks at Lesovo BCP

Customs officers at Lesovo BCP and mobile customs teams found 34 200 pieces of cigarettes without excise stamps during customs check of three trucks, traveling from Turkey to Bulgaria. The contraband cigarettes were found during joint inspections of customs mobile groups and customs officers at the border customs point in the last three days. 21 800 pieces /1 090 / boxes of cigarettes branded "Victory Slims Deluxe" without a Bulgarian excise stamps were found by customs officers  in a truck driven by an Iranian citizen. He arrived at Lesovo border checkpoint on 3 July 2017 without cargo. The smuggled cigarettes were found by customs officers in the walls along the entire length of the trailer. 5 200 pieces / 260 boxes / of cigarettes without excise stamps "Victory Slims Deluxe" were found on July 2, 2017 during a joint check with a customs mobile group, also on a truck driven by an Iranian citizen. Another 7,200 pieces / 360 boxes / of cigarettes without excise stamps with trademarks "MM", "Davidoff", "Golden Gate" and "American Legend" were found  on July 1, 2017 in a truck driven by a Turkish citizen. The smuggled 1 710 boxes of cigarettes were seized. Against violators were issued three acts under the Law on Customs.
