Customs officers and border police at the Kapitan Andreevo BCP seized gold for 30 000 BGN

Customs officers and border police at the Kapitan Andreevo BCP seized gold jewelry for 31 146 BGN in two cases.

In the first case on 13.07.2017, around midnight, gold jewelry was found  in Turkish bus, entering the country from Turkey. Border Police officers have been asked to thoroughly inspect the vehicle and passengers. The driver of the bus and passengers did not declare any goods precious metals and currency. During the inspection customs officers found in the personal luggage of a Romanian citizen traveling in the bus are hidden polythene envelopes with the gold.    According to available expertise the gold earrings, chains, rings and bracelets with a total weight of 394 g of 14 carats gold worth 23 640 BGN.

In the second case on 18.07.2017 customs officers selected for detailed check the Bulgarian car, entering the country from Turkey. In the course of a personal examination of the woman, passenger in car, customs officers found in the bra and the bag hidden gold jewelry. According to available expertise the gold jewelry with a total weight of 125.1 g worth  7 506 BGN.

The gold and the car were seized. Acts for administrative violations were issued against the the Romanian and Bulgarian citizens.
