Customs officers at Kapitan Andreevo BCP seized tens of thousands textile products bearing the logo of famous brands



Customs officers at Kapitan Andreevo BCP seized 16 823 textiles and 258 shoes, 283 bags,  suspected of infringing intellectual property rights of world famous brands. Goods were transported with Polish truck, entering the country from Turkey. The customs officers selected the truck for detailed check. During the inspection customs officers found in the truck 7 090 pairs of ladies, men's and children's stockings, with the logo Adidas, Nike, Tommy Hilfiger. The inspections were discovered and total 5 654 Textiles - T-shirts, sports kits, blouses, shirts, trousers, scarf  with the logo Polo, Tommy Hilfinger, Lacoste, Louis Vuitton. Customs officers found also4 079 men's boxer shorts with the logo Calvin Klein, Armani, Gucci and 258 shoes and 283 bags, with the logo Adidas, Nike Gucci, Guess, Chanel.

In compliance with EU Regulation No 608/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council and the Law on Brands and Geographic Indications, the products were seized and the rights owners of the relevant brands will be informed about the seizure.
