The National Customs Agency received an award for the best European public project


„Bulgarian counter-undervaluation methodology" was awarded as best practice at European level

The Customs Agency received a prize in the competition for the best public European Public Sector Award (EPSA 2017) of the European Institute of Public Administration. "Bulgarian counter-undervaluation methodology" of the Customs Agency was awarded as best practice in the category of European / national project. The methodology has been developed in the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate in cooperation with the Bulgarian Industrial Association.
Office Européen de Lutte Anti-Fraude /OLAF/ has also spread the Bulgarian methodology to all Member States as a good practice.
The prestigious "Best Practice Certificate" was accepted by the Deputy Director of Customs Agency Borislav Borisov and by the experts who created the methodology. The award was presented by the President of the European Institute of Public Administration Prof. Dr. Margaard Prol and the Deputy Mayor of Maastricht, Mr. Andre Willems at a special ceremony in Maastricht, The Netherlands
The Bulgarian project was marked during the Maastricht ceremony as particularly important in view of the forthcoming changes in the EU - the United Kingdom's separation (BREXIT).
